The Global Tourism Forum Bodrum Summit, hosted by the Mayor of Bodrum Ahmet Aras and the Secretary-General of the United Nations’ World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai, was held on 10-12 June. At the forum, some important names including the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom Jack Straw discussed Turkish and global tourism. As well as the European Parliament Member Josianne Cutajar, Turkish Exporters Assembly Chair İsmail Gülle, CHP Deputy Chairperson Bülent Kuşoğlu, Bodrum District Governor, deputies and municipal authorities, the Ministers of Tourism for Chad, Niger, Gabon, Guinea, Malawi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo attended the opening ceremony. Giving a speech on the first day of the forum, Ant Yapı Chairperson Mehmet Okay evaluated the situation in the tourism sector and the Russian market after COVID-19. The Global Tourism Forum ended with a breakfast held at the Radisson Collection Hotel Bodrum.
