Entering the 2000’s meant starting a new era called the Millennium. Our hopes were for peace, justice, tranquility, and great harmony all over the world, without war or any kind of suffering for this new era. It has been 22 years since that day, and unfortunately, it is obvious that the things we have experienced are far different from our expectations for the Millennium.
To sum up, in terms of the economics we faced the biggest economic crisis in the history of our Republic in 2001.
In 2008 the world’s biggest crisis arrived.
While thinking that things were getting better, the global crisis that began in 2020 started to deepen.
In 2019, we encountered the pandemic, one of the most severe epidemic diseases in human history and although its effect has diminished, it still continues.
The biggest problem for our world, on which we cannot negotiate, is of course conflicts and wars. The war between Russia and Ukraine, which has been going on for the last year, has become a world problem, and potentially even a third world war, that is dangerous enough where a nuclear war is being predicted.
‘Despite everything’ from the headline means despite all of these, the result of the greed of humanity, we think positively and hope that our expectations for the Millennium will soon miraculously come true.
As Ant Yapı, we have had a very productive tourism year in terms of our tourism investments in Türkiye, we have completed the contracting works of İş GYO and Şişecam, we have started our Anteras Nev project and our new project development processes in particular our Anthaven project, continue.
As far as our projects abroad are concerned, our construction in Russia continues uninterrupted, even at this conjuncture we continue our business undertaking with new tasks in both the USA and England!
We would like to express our gratitude to all the hardworking, intelligent, and self-sacrificing Ant Yapı team, who continue to work like ants for such great successes.
Beginning with the saying of Rumi “Beautiful days do not come to you, you must walk towards them”.
We would like to end with our philosophy and this suitable maritime saying
“The pessimist complains about the wind,
The optimist expects it to change,
The realist adjusts the sails”
…and continue on our way bearing in mind that “Twenty years from now you will be sorry for what you haven’t done, not what you have done, so untie the ropes, sail away from safe harbors, catch the wind, dream, research, explore and realize”.
Despite everything, let’s stay positive; and as Gandhi says:
“Keep your thoughts positive because your thought become your words
Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”
Despite everything, we wish again that 2023 will bring abundance, health, well-being, and peace to all our Ant Yapı friends, to all of the Ant Yapı team, to all humanity, to the world, and we wish you a happy New Year.
